Effective October 16, 2026

Fair Chance Futures (FCF) runs this application portal. This page explains what we collect when you apply, why we collect it, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have tried to keep it plain and short.

What we collect

Your account. Your name, email address and phone number. If you set a password, we store it scrambled so no one can read it, including us. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name, email address and a Google account number. We do not get your Google password.

Your application. Your answers to the application questions. These include your date of birth, address, race or ethnicity, gender, pronouns, benefits you receive, how the justice system has affected your life, your work and earnings, your education, your schedule, and how you heard about us. Some questions are optional. You can also upload a résumé and share LinkedIn or GitHub links.

The problem-solving task. Your written answers, and your conversation with the AI assistant during the task.

Interviews and info sessions. When you book through Calendly, we receive the time you booked and whether it changes or is cancelled.

Messages. Anything you send us through a contact form, with your name and email address.

Online assessments. If you take an assessment in the portal, we record your answers and code.

Technical information. Our servers keep basic logs, such as when a request was made, to keep the portal running and secure. Your browser stores a sign-in token so you stay signed in.

How we use it

  • To review your application and decide on admission to our programs.
  • To check eligibility, such as age, education and where you live.
  • To schedule interviews and info sessions, and to keep your portal up to date.
  • To answer your questions.
  • To send you text reminders, only if you asked for them.
  • To understand who applies, so we can improve our programs and reach more people.
  • To keep the portal secure and working.

Your justice history and earnings

FCF serves people affected by the justice system, so we ask about it. We also ask about earnings, because they decide which applications go to a closer review. Only FCF staff who work on admissions can see these answers. We never sell them, and we never publish them.

Who can see your information

FCF staff. Our admissions team reviews applications in a private workspace on Monday.com, which only FCF staff can open.

Services that help us run the portal. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:

  • Cloud hosting providers in the United States, which store the portal and its database.
  • Monday.com, where our staff review applications.
  • Anthropic, which provides the AI assistant in the problem-solving task. It receives your messages to the assistant.
  • Calendly, which runs interview and info session booking.
  • Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.

We do not sell your information. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use analytics services. We may share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your application for as long as we need it to run admissions and our programs, and to meet our legal and reporting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and application at any time.

Your choices

  • You can ask to see the information we hold about you.
  • You can ask us to correct it.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and application.
  • You can stop text reminders at any time.

To ask for any of these, use the contact form on our home page, or Contact us inside your portal. We will reply by email.

Keeping it safe

Your information travels over encrypted connections. Passwords are stored scrambled. Uploaded files and staff pages need a sign-in to open. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can see your information to the people who need it.

Age

Our programs are for adults. You must be 18 or older to apply.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
